my son likes trucks and I blame megafauna

Motorcycles, trains and airplanes, too … loud machines … you get it. I started noticing when he was super little. His mostly-immobile head would turn just a bit when the school bus drove past in the morning. He would do the same for distant trains. He still does it.

I have to think there’s an evolutionary advantage to this. My wife and I have talked about this a decent amount, and our very non-scientific conclusion is that it is not a survival adaptation. We base this on the fact that he runs toward the loud noises.

…which is why I blame megafauna.

My boy just wants to bag a mammoth. For now he seems to be happy with eating “More Kix!” .
